Lotus Enfolds Mandarin Ducks, Evoking a Sense of Zen Tranquility
The lotus is known as “Padma” in Buddhist tradition. The lotus is deeply connected with Buddhism, symbolizing purity and wisdom. The blooming lotus is traditionally associated with the manifestation of Buddha-nature. Its blooming symbolizes that practitioners have attained a certain realm of wisdom.
The lotus also stands for the spiritual state of enlightenment. “The Bodhisattva contemplates thus: within every sentient being dwells this lotus of awakening, pure and undefiled within the Dharma realm, untouched by afflictions.”
Serene and harmonious, complete and refined
To this day, the lotus is honoured as a sacred emblem in Buddhism. Its symbolism resonates with longstanding Eastern ideals of tranquility, inner peace, and transcendence.
Representing purity, virtue, and serene wisdom, the lotus has long been revered in Buddhist tradition and cherished as a symbol of spiritual awakening.
Ten scrolling lotus branches encircle a pair of mandarin ducks. The composition exudes peace and holiness, infused with delicate Zen charm, and symbolises perfect wholeness.
