Inspiration
Ancient Auspicious Creatures, Timeless Elegance
Drawing inspiration from the lintels of Ancient Greek architecture, the design features Roman column-shaped motifs connecting the four corners of the rug, interspersed with delicate miniature lintel beasts. Paired with the raw, organic texture of CHANGPHEL’s Tibetan rugs, the composition evokes the dignified elegance of ancient classical architecture.

One of the most sought-after artists in recent years, Fiori has repeatedly set new auction records at Sotheby’s. In mid-2022, his works achieved a combined auction total of more than €24 million, surpassing his previous personal record.
He draws inspiration from the vitality of nature and seeks a sense of eternity amid ever-changing civilizations.
For this new body of work, Fiori adopts the millennia-old Tibetan rug as a fresh artistic medium. Using age-old hand-weaving techniques and premium highland wool, he reinterprets the solemn yet vivid imagery of beasts found on Ancient Greek lintels.
