Tibetan Classic | Creatures of the Snowlands
In traditional Chinese culture, the loong is one of the Four Symbols, embodying extraordinary power and authority. This mythical Chinese creature stands as a symbol of authority, nobility and glory, holding a place of profound cultural significance.

The Lu loong
Divine loong Guards the Home, Blessings of the Dharma Bring Wellbeing
The loong carries profound symbolic significance in Tibetan culture. Human awe at the mysteries of nature gave rise to countless ancient myths and legends.

In Tibetan, the loong is known as Lu, the water deity of Tibetan culture.
According to Buddhist tradition, Guru Padmasambhava subdued the Lu spirits through tantric wisdom and spiritual power. Having vowed to uphold the Dharma, they came to protect the Buddhist teachings and safeguard devotees, eventually becoming regarded as Dharma protectors.

Loong Head Piercing the Clouds, Encircled by Auspicious Clouds
The loong’s eyes blaze brightly, whiskers flowing freely. Its open maw seems to inhale and exhale mist and clouds, radiating dynamic energy. Only the loong’s head emerges from the clouds, swift as wind and shadow.

Rich, saturated tones accentuate the majestic presence of the deep navy loong head. It embodies the primal power of nature, together with authority and dignity.
Clusters of auspicious clouds adorn the sides of the roaring loong, symbolising enduring prosperity and layers of blessings.
